Grand Marque Meringue Powder is uniquely formulated to provide a beautiful topping, as well as making a superb buttercream icing or a perfect royal icing.It also makes an excellent boiled icing and has a pleasant flavor and enticing aroma. Our premium blend of ingredients affords the decorator excellence as well as economy. For example, if you can't use all the royal icing that you make in one day, just cover your bowl with a damp towel, tightly wrap it with plastic wrap, and re-whip it the next day.
1. Meringue: Mix ¾ cup of granulated sugar with ½ cup boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved. Cool. Add ¼ cup meringue preparation and beat with wire w hip until it peaks. Spread on pie or press through a pastry bag and bake.
2. Royal Icing: Mix ¼ cup of meringue preparation with ½ cup water. Beat until it peaks. Add 4 cups sifted powdered sugar (1/2 cup more for stiffer icing), beat to desired consistency.
3. Butter Cream Icing: Mix ¾ cup granulated sugar with ½ cup boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Cool. Add 1/3 cup meringue preparation and beat until mixture peaks. Stir in 1lb. sifted powdered sugar. Mix until completely blended. Add 2 cups softened butter, margarine or white vegetable shortening, more for a softer, smoother consistency and mix until you reached desired consistency.
Ingredients: Sugar, Egg White Solids, Modified Food Starch, Dextrose, Vegetable Gum, Salt, and Citric Acid
